New-Onset Nephrotic Syndrome with Concurrent COVID-19 Infection in a
Pediatric Patient
Abstract
Minimal change nephrotic syndrome (MCNS) is more common among children.
However, there is limited literature associating MCNS and COVID-19
infection. We present a 2 year old boy with anasarca who tested positive
for COVID-19 prior to admission. Workup was consistent with nephrotic
syndrome. He responded well to steroids and diuretics.
