Conclusion

The research contribution is a comprehensive methodology to measure well-being performance of existing neighborhood to be as a design guide for urban designers, urban planners and decision makers enhancement of the built environment and retrofitting projects. This methodology is to assess and compare neighborhood well-being in the neighborhood level. This research outcomes can be generalized to other emerging cities in the GCC region and other part of the world that have fragmentation issues in the urban development. Well-being neighborhood performance profiling will help decision-making process in the case of choosing and operational strategy. Urban sprawl with just a  position of poorly defined off skirts often characterized compartmentalization of activities. It is not enough to regenerate derelict urban areas or build new operations in remaining empty plots, but actions to revive existing neighborhoods is also needed.
