SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses produces a wide range of clinical
disease severity, which varies from asymptomatic infection to death. In
this study, we evaluated prevalence of influenza compared to COVID-19 in
years of 2019-2021 before and after COVID-19 pandemic. The results of
this study showed that the outbreak of influenza decreased by starting
the restrictions and health protocols and suggesting that the measures
taken for COVID-19 were effective in reducing spread viral respiratory
diseases such as influenza.
