AI-driven recommendation systems have significantly influenced digital information consumption, leading to the formation of "AI echo chambers." These echo chambers reinforce users' preexisting beliefs by continuously feeding them similar content, thereby reducing exposure to diverse perspectives. This paper explores the causes, effects, and real-world implications of AI-driven echo chambers, using the 2016 U.S. elections and the 2017 QAnon conspiracy as case studies. It further examines possible solutions, including algorithmic transparency, content diversification, regulatory measures, and AI ethics frameworks. By analyzing the mechanisms behind these echo chambers and their societal impact, this research highlights the urgent need for responsible AI governance to mitigate misinformation, radicalization, and digital polarization.
