Fatal rupture of pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysm after thoracic
radiation therapy against lung squamous cell carcinoma: a case report
and literature review
Abstract
Rupture of pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysm (PAP) can result in
life-threatening hemoptysis. A 65-year-old male was diagnosed with PAP
based on chest contrasted computer tomography (CT). He coughed up
massive amounts of blood and could not be resuscitated. In the autopsy,
macroscopic and microscopic findings supported the clinical course.
