A rare case of thyroid angiosarcoma -- a diagnosis not to be missed.
Abstract
Primary thyroid angiosarcoma (TAS) is a rare mesenchymal tumor with poor
prognosis, that should be differentiated from anaplastic thyroid
carcinoma. We present the 60th case of this rare tumor and highlight the
importance of early diagnosis, undelayed surgery and complementary
radiation in order to improve prognosis and overall survival.
