Serum sickness, a reaction presenting with a classic triad (fever, rash, myalgia/arthralgia) and considered as a rare adverse event following monoclonal antibodies and specifically following treatment with rituximab. This report describes a case of serum sickness in a newly treated young male patient with rituximab for pemphigus vulgaris.

Deep corneal ulcers of four brachycephalic dogs were treated by a modified surgical technique using small intestinal submucosa (SIS). SIS was cut to exact size of the defect but not sutured. Afterwards a temporary nictitating membrane flap was placed. The outcome was very good in all cases.

We describe a case of ICM implantation in a 74-year-old woman with SIT and ESUS for detection of AF. ICM implantation was performed successfully without any complications. AF was detected at 28 days after ICM insertion. ICMs can be safely implanted in patients with SIT, allowing successful detection of AF.

A 63-year-old woman was diagnosed with a giant atrial septal aneurysm (ASA) protruding into the right atrium and thrombus attached to the left side of the ASA pouch. We surgically resected the ASA, and the resection site was closed with pericardial patch. The postoperative course was uneventful.

Isolated pulmonary valve infective endocarditis (PVIE) is very rare, with a frequency of 1.6-2.7% of all endocarditis cases. We report the case of a patient who underwent successful pulmonary valve replacement (PVR) with a bio-prosthetic valve to treat isolated PVIE.

We report a case of Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TTC) induced by diffuse fear of the COVID-19 pandemia and aggravated to ventricular fibrillation. After succesfull resuscitation the patient developed temporarily a J-wave after event. Though potentially live threatening in the acute phase both J-wave and TTC are reversible with receding of edema.

We experienced a case with accidental aspiration of a metallic round foreign body. As there is no established techniquefor retrieving a metallic round ball from an airway, we propose that endoscopic net forceps with the support of a laryngeal mask airway is the best choice for such occasions.

We report a case of synchronous p16+ squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) involving both the nasopharynx(NPC) and base of tongue treated at our institution. PET/CT suggested a likely occult lesion in the nasopharynx and adenoidectomy was required for confirmation of p16+ NPC
