We present a 30-year-old male with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) secondary to anti-glomerular basement membrane (anti-GBM) disease who presented to the emergency room with hypertensive emergency and seizures. He was treated with antihypertensives and lorazepam. His seizure etiology was attributed to hypertensive emergency due to ESRD from anti-GBM disease.

Kikuchi-Fujimoto Disease (KFD) is a self-limiting condition that typically presents with lymphadenopathy and fever. It’s autoimmune in nature, and possibly associated with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The case report highlights an unusual case of KFD associated with autoimmune hemolytic anemia and provided a review for other atypical presentations.

Jejunoileal atresia is a common cause of neonatal intestinal obstruction with high mortality and morbidity in a low resource setting where surgical care is lacking. Herein, a 4-day-old presented with features of acute abdomen and septicaemia, managed with ileostomy diversion and recovered uneventfully.

Two different types of ophthalmic optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging were used to evaluate ocular health in a guinea pig suspected of having heterotopic bone formation (HBF). Captured images facilitated diagnosis of HBF. This case report provides reference OCT images of HBF in the guinea pig.

Mammary-like glands (MLG) are normal structures in the vulva which have possible but rare malignant potential.Given this rarity, guidelines for treating MLG adenocarcinoma are lacking. In the current literature, approximately thirty six reported cases of MLG in the vulva exist.

However, it has only been reported postoperatively once before after anterior cervical disc fusion (ACDF). This case discusses the formation of a chyloma following an anterior cervical spinal procedure.

Four weeks subsequent to a maxillary molar extraction a prolapse of the antrum lining through the extraction socket occurred. It was managed with a buccal fat pad pedicle graft.

An 80-year old gentleman with very severe aplastic anemia was treated with standard combination therapy of equine antithymocyte globulin and cyclosporine A. His death shortly after treatment could be attributed to his advanced age, severe pancytopenia at diagnosis, absence of minor paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria clone and immunosuppressive therapy-related complications.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) may present with different symptoms and complications. Acrocyanosis and digital necrosis may be associated with COVID-19. We describe two patients with COVID-19 who died with acrocyanosis and digital necrosis at the terminal stage of their illness.

Primary hypothyroidism has been associated with many adverse effects. Its cardiovascular manifestations include reductions in heart rate and contractility with the development of hypertension, angina, heart failure, and pericardial effusion consistent with a hypothyroid heart. Early recognition and treatment can help mitigate these advanced features.

Objective: To review a case of acute urticaria, and to explore the links this presentation shares with hyperthyroidism and anti-thyroid medications, along with management strategies for patients presenting with new-onset urticaria and pre-existing thyroid disease. Design: A retrospective case report on a 23-year-old female with hyperthyroidism, on carbimazole therapy.

We describe the course of disease and multidisciplinary treatment of a multiple myeloma patient who presented with a life-threatening plasmacytoma in-scar resistant to conventional treatment. She underwent wide resection with immediate free-flap reconstruction, allowing for early chemoradiotherapy and autologous bone marrow transplant. She survived additional 18 months following surgery.

Nutcracker syndrome refers to symptomatic compression of left renal vein. There are many reasons for that. We report a case that the enlargement of splenic vein has caused to nutcracker syndrome. Results implies that not firm venous structures can be cause of nutcracker syndrome.

Giant congenital melanocytic nevi are brown-black lesions larger than 20 cm caused by benign proliferation of melanocytes. They either regress or progress in time in matters of thickness and size and may transform to malignancies. Here we report a twelve year old patient with giant melanocytic nevus of the scalp.

We present clinical cases of ALS, accompanied by hydromyelia, where we tried to find out the causes of the cavities and its connection with the disease. Usually, MRI does not reveal any spinal cord alterations in ALS patients. We did not find any observable cause for cavity formation.

The 75-year-old male patient had been diagnosed with CML 25 years ago. Over 3 years after starting bosutinib, he was diagnosed with a HGBCL. A total of six courses of DA-EPOCH-R therapy brought complete remission of the lymphoma. Eight months after stopping bosutinib, BCR-ABL1 transcript copies remained undetectable by RT-PCR.
