A rare case of acute myocardial infarction, related to mobile papillary
fibroelastoma of the aortic valve
Abstract
We present a case of a 75-year-old woman with typical myocardial
infarction, however coronary angiogram was negative. Echocardiography
identified the rare cause of chest pain, as a mobile mass of aortic
valve was found to obstruct the coronary ostium. histopathology revealed
a papillary fibroelastoma (PFE). Chest pain was relieved after surgical
resection of the mass.
