Tuberculous aortitis is difficult to diagnose, but early treatment may limit the progression of tuberculosis aortitis, which may cause aortic stenosis or pseudoaneurysm formation if untreated. We provided antituberculous therapy on suspicion of tuberculous aortitis, despite the lack of definitive diagnosis, and obtained a favorable outcome.

Some peritoneal dialysis catheter infections cannot be detected via a physical examination. Ultrasonography can aid in the diagnosis of such infections.

Autoimmune diseases including systemic sclerosis (SSc) increase risk of developing TB. Pericostal tuberculosis (TB) is a rare presentation of skeletal TB. This case report describes pericostal TB in a SSc patient, and emphasizes significance of suspecting pulmonary and extra-pulmonary TB when patients with autoimmune disease follow atypical clinical courses.
