Non-islet-cell tumor hypoglycemia as first manifestation of an advanced
hepatocellular carcinoma
Abstract
Non-islet cell tumor hypoglycemia (NICTH) is a rare but severe
complication of malignancy. We present the case of 55 year old man who
was admitted for severe hypoglycemia. The diagnosis of insulinoma was
ruled out. After clinical work-ups, we made the diagnosis of metastatic
HCC with production of IGF-2.
