Abstract
Alzheimer’s disease, a common disease among the elderly, deserves worldwide attention. Concerns about the aging population, which is a global phenomenon, are closely related to this disease. According to a United Nations report (2006), the number of people aged 60 and up is expected to triple in forty years, totaling two (2) billion by 2050. To add to this, Alzheimer’s disease (AD) affected 500,000 people in the UK and 36.5 million worldwide.
