Dr. Iris Leibovich-Nassi (RN, PhD) is currently the head of Research and Innovation at the Nursing Department of Barzilai Medical Center, Israel. She is representing the Nursing Dpt. in Barzilai ethics committee (Helsinki).
She is currently a chairwoman of the Nursing Research and Innovation Forum in Brazili and a member of the National Israeli Nursing Research & Innovation Forum and the Israel Nursing Research Association. An active participant in professional conferences in Israel and abroad as a lecturer, as a member of organizing committees and as chair of seats.
A graduate of Beilinson's Nursing School (1982) with Bachelor's Degree, she obtained a Master's Degree in Nursing (2006, Cum Laude) awarded by Tel-Aviv University Nursing Program for Advanced Studies. She was awarded a PhD diploma in 2020, submitting a dissertation focusing on premonitory signs and symptoms of Hereditary Angioedema attacks ("Prodromes").
In her another role as a senior nurse-specialist in Angioedema , she is consulting and training HAE patients in self-management, dealing with patients' family matters and engage in quality of life issues. Over the last 5 years she is also serving as a Chairwoman of the International HAE Nursing Organization (IHNO) and consulting to the Pharma on nursing issues.
