Coexistence of schizencephaly and intracranial developmental venous
anomaly in a middle-aged patient: a case report and review of the
literature
Abstract
Schizencephaly is a rare developmental disorder of the central nervous
system (CNS) marked by abnormal clefts or slits spreading from the
lateral ventricle to the cerebral hemispheres.Developmental venous
anomaly (DVA) is a benign venous anomaly draining cerebral parenchyma.
DVAs are usually asymptomatic and do not cause any complications.
