In a nutshell, I investigate the impact of urbanization and climate change on the atmospheric environment and biogeochemical cycles, and the conjuncture of these with the construction of sustainable, equitable and inclusive cities. I am interested in the interactions between the urban surface and overlying atmosphere in terms of mass and energy exchange, in the chemical and physical processes driving air pollution and the accumulation of greenhouse gases, in the exposure to pollutants and heat in public spaces, and the impact of urbanization on the carbon cycle.
