Dr. Gasperini's interests include the upper atmosphere environments of Earth and Mars; dynamical coupling between the lower and upper atmosphere; atmospheric tides and waves; the effects of global change, meteorological disturbances, and space weather on the upper atmosphere; utilization of accelerometer, satellite drag, and satellite remote sensing data and numerical models to elucidate thermosphere variability.
