Raffaele Moretta (S’ 2018 – M’ 2021) was born in Caserta (Italy) in March 1989.
He received the Laurea (summa cum laude) in Electronic Engineering and the Ph.D degree in Electronic
and Computer Science engineering from the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” in 2018 and 2021, respectively.
After the PhD degree, he joined the Electromagnetic Fields Group of the University of Campania ”Luigi
Vanvitelli” as Postdoctoral Researcher.
In 2022 Dr. Moretta was an avionic system engineer at Avio Spa. He is now an antenna engineer at MBDA Italy.
His current research interests include antenna design and inverse problems in electromagnetics
with particular attention to phase retrieval, near field measurement techniques, antenna diagnostics and synthesis.
Dr. Moretta is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and of the Italian Society of Electromagnetism (SIEM).
Moreover, he was under consideration by the committee of the IEEE Antennas Propagation Society for the R.W.P. King Award 2020.
