This paper’s purpose is to determine whether certain groups of people are more susceptible to Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) based on their age group and gender. The author attempts to determine whether there is an association between age group and increased susceptibility to CHD in both the male and female population using data on maximum heart rate, total cholesterol, and blood pressure. The author built a device that could measure heart rate using a sensor and a microcontroller. This device was used to collect data on 10 male and 10 female subjects. The data was added to another dataset containing 1025 subjects and statistical analysis was conducted to determine whether there is association between age group and CHD susceptibility in both the male and female populations.
