Malnutrition in a child with T-cell ALL leading to Superior Mesenteric
Artery syndrome and Wernicke's encephalopathy

Abstract
We report the case of a child with T-cell ALL who presented with
clinical features of SMA syndrome and Wernicke's encephalopathy,
concurrently, in the setting of malnutrition and significant weight
loss. We highlight the importance of an early clinical diagnosis of
these two uncommon but treatable complications of malnutrition in
childhood cancer.
