This article introduces AgileDBR, a novel research approach combining Agile project management with Design-Based Research (DBR) to address challenges observed in both methodologies. The hybrid framework, exemplified in the study "Raising awareness of data ethics in PGCE computing education," demonstrates how AgileDBR enhances transparency, scalability, and collaboration. The integration aligns Agile's iterative and time-bound principles with DBR's systematic and flexible methodology. The case study, adapting to COVID-19 challenges, illustrates the application of AgileDBR in various research stages, supported by documentation tools like Vision Research Canvas and Test & Learn Cards. The success of AgileDBR is evaluated through practical examples, emphasizing its contribution to a more effective, transparent, and documented research process in education. AgileDBR offers a 'framework' that facilitates the execution of projects/research using scalable transparent macro-micro visual tools and processes, supporting iterative research/project completion.
