Lameness in the horse is one of the most common reasons a horse is seen
by a veterinarian. As the foot is frequently the source of lameness,
research utilizing reversible methods of foot lameness induction are
vital to improvements of the knowledge in this area. This literature
review aims to describe published methods of reversible foot lameness
induction, identify any limitations of these methods, and summarize
