I am a PhD student at UNSW Canberra, studying the sediment dynamics of the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna (GBM) Delta, with a particular focus on its coastal regions along the Bay of Bengal. My work investigates how declining sediment flux, influenced by upstream interventions and climate driven sea-level rise affect the delta's stability and morphology.
Utilizing hydro-morphodynamic modeling with the Delft3D FM software, I aim to simulate sediment transport processes and understand the delicate balance of erosion and accretion that shapes the dynamic morphology of this delta.
