LS is a 39-year-old woman with systolic heart failure secondary to viral myocarditis (EF 10-15%). She was transitioned from IABP support to LVAD. Five weeks postoperatively she experienced progressive low flow alarms and underwent pericardial release via left mini-thoracotomy. Flows immediately improved postoperatively.

Otic lichen planus (LP) is rare and associated with stenosis of external auditory canal, conductive hearing loss (HL) and otorrhea. We report the case of a 78 years old woman affected by otic LP complaining mixed HL. We successfully treated the patients with local therapy and with bone-anchored hearing device.

Inguinal hernia can be present in the beam path of photon radiotherapy for prostate cancer. To avoid exposing the radiosensitive intestinal tract potentially included in hernia sacs, repair surgery prior to photon radiotherapy should be considered for hernia-positive prostate cancer patients.

Acquired epidermodysplasia verruciformis is a rare entity occurring in immunocompromised patients such as organ-transplant recipients. Renal-transplant recipients are at high risk for developing squamous cell carcinomas. The impact of acquired epidermodysplasia verruciformis on this risk is unknown. Long-term follow-up of this high-risk population should be proposed.

Chiari malformations are a group of heterogeneous disorders; Chiari I malformation is characterized by a form of structural defect in the cerebellum and the cranial base. The case report highlights the possibility of underlying neurological disease in cases where acute Type 2 respiratory failure is unexplainable.

In Tanzania, Tuberculosis is among the most common and important diagnoses in a patient presenting with constitutional symptoms and lung opacities on plain radiography. We report a 32-year-old male who was misdiagnosed as extrapulmonary tuberculosis based on symptoms and imaging. Further workup revealed a rare but aggressive metastatic angiosarcoma.

Thyroid nodules are often incidentally noted on imaging studies with an estimated incidence of 25% on neck CT scan. The presence of a PET-avid thyroid nodule, especially in a patient with a history of malignancy, should prompt evaluation with fine-needle aspiration to evaluate for malignancy given the high probability.

This is the first report of a case of COVID-19 after allogeneic stem cell transplantation. Our case suggests that COVID-19 may exist without characteristic CT images, especially in immunocompromised hosts, such as patients after transplantation.

We report a case of refractory life-threatening warm autoimmune hemolytic anemia (wAIHA) associated with chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) for which all conventional treatments had failed. The use of eculizumab allowed controlling hemolysis and resulted in transfusion independence. These data support the use of eculizumab in refractory wAIHA.

Antigenic competition in the skin is a phenomenon in which the current dermatitis is distributed away from the area of previously existing dermatitis. We experienced antigenic competition-like phenomenon in bullous pemphigoid. Our case differs from typical presentations of antigenic competition, since the responsible antigen was the same.

In this clinical image, we presented a rare case of shortness of breath as a symtom of McKittrick-Wheelock syndrome(MWS). The patient’s symptom and electrolyte disorders improved with the resection of the rectal villous tumor. We should aware of this rare symtom in case of the diagnosis of MWS.

A 53 year old man presented with symptomatic severe pulmonary valve regurgitation. He underwent a diagnostic catheterization. A heavily calcified pericardium and the pressure tracings illustrate typical features of constrictive pericarditis physiology. This condition is important to recognize given the progressive nature and poor prognosis when left untreated.

Ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T) is a multi-system disorder, resulted from the mutation in the ATM gene. Its mortality is largely related to some other disorders. Therefore, the management of its complications significantly improves patient quality of life. We studied a pediatric patient with A-T who one of his relatives had A-T.

This case series study was performed on 19 patients with facial papule The patients were treated with oral isotretinoin 20 mg for 6 months. Oral isotertinoin was an effective and safe treatment in patients with facial LPP. There were some patients with only facial involvement without FFA or scalp LPP

Osteogenesis Imperfecta is a genetic disorder of connective tissue leading to bone fragility. Diagnosis of this condition can be considered during pregnancy, at birth or during childhood. Early onset forms are severe with high mortality rate. We report two cases during neonatal period in Cameroon.

We present a case of non-leukemic (lymphomatous) variant of HTLV-1 associated adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma in a young woman. Tumor demonstrated strong and diffuse CD30 and PD-1 expression which is very unusual finding in this entity. Very good clinical response was obtained with brentuximab-containing treatment regimen.
