We report a rare and first case of combined cerebral venous sinus thrombosis and posterior internal carotid artery stroke in a 35-year-old female on combined oral contraceptive pills (COCP), presented with headache and vertigo, found to have extensive venous thrombosis and PICA territory ischemic infarct with persistently elevated factor VIII.

IntroductionSystemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a protean disease. The classification criteria have been evolving to increase the sensitivity and specificity of SLE diagnosis. The American College of Rheumatology (ACR) criteria (1982 version 1and 1997 revised version2 have high specificity, but limited sensitivity. The Systemic Lupus International Collaborating Clinics (SLICC) 2012 criteria have increased sensitivity, but decreased specificity3. The 2019 EULAR/ACR SLE classification criteria have both high sensitivity and specificity, and advocated positive ANA (ever) as an entry criterion4, 5. Therefore, for patients with persistent ANA negative, it is difficult to diagnosis for SLE. Our report describes a young woman who presented an ANA negative and lack of typical clinical symptoms of SLE patient, but with severe lupus-like manifestations. At present, this is unique case report about severe lupus with ANA continued negative.

A woman presented with intermittent left lower abdominal pain associated with a mass and didn't have any other symptoms. During the operation, a local inflammatory mass was found in left lower quarter of abdominal cavity. There are two bony foreign bodies in it. Postoperative pathology suggested an inflammatory mass.

We described a case of neural tube defect (NTDs) viz., occipital encephalomeningocele born to a mother with folic acid supplementation. A wide interplay of genetic and environmental factors exists in its causation. The folic acid confers advantage but the relationship with causation of NTDs is still not clear.

Infection of urachal remnant may cause recurrent abscesses. In the current case report, we describe an urachal remnant infection leading to a retroperitoneal abscess, which is extremely rare condition. In such cases, the recommended treatment is urachal remnant resection.

The author's intent is to bring one such case to focus wherein just mere lack of knowledge and casual approach towards one's own health having undiagnosed underlying blood coagulation disorder led to catastrophic sequence of events, leaving behind a cautionary learning tale from a loss of life.

Erythema multiforme is a reactive inflammatory mucocutaneous disorder. It is etiology varied from bacterial, viral or fungal infection to drug reaction. The aim was to report a case of drug induced oral erythema multiforme, in order to highlight it's clinical and histological features in addition to the therapeutic modalities.

Considerable calcification and stenosis frequently occur in the radial artery (RA) in diabetic nephropathy. PTA was performed successfully using balloon to expand and restrictively tear the longitudinal axis of the RA. Introduction:Myocardial metastatic cancer is rare, and diagnosis is challenging. Supradiaphragmatic malignancies are the most common to metastasize to the heart. Endocardial involvement is rare, followed by involvement of the pericardium, epicardium, and myocardium. Myocardial metastasis leads to varied clinical presentations ranging from arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, and intracavitary mass lesions (1). We are describing a patient with a prior diagnosis of coronary artery disease (CAD) and Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) presenting as recurrent ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and diagnosed with cardiac metastasis from lung squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).

Formal guidelines for awake tracheal intubation have recently been published providing a streamlined process for the first time. We present a case of awake videolaryngoscopy in the pediatric setting, not previously reported. Application of guidelines and careful team preparation facilitated performance of a novel technique in our pediatric institution.
