He received the BSc in Electronic Engineering from Veracruz Institute of Technology (1988) and the MSc in Electronic Systems from the National Institute of Astrophysics Optic and Electronic (1990). He received the PhD from the University of Wales, Bangor, 2005. He worked at FAPATUX, Tuxtepec, Mexico (1986-1987; 1990-1993). He has been a Visiting Engineer at South Carolina (Columbia-USA 1995), Michigan (Ann Arbor-USA 1996) and the CERN (Geneva, Switzerland 2007, 2009). His main areas of interest are control systems applications and automation. He is Senior Member of the IEEE and level I of the Mexican National Research System.
