Roberto completed his PhD in Mathematics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazill, 2014) and Lorraine University (France, 2014). After the completion of his doctoral work, he held postdoctoral positions at University of Cincinnati (USA). Since November 2015, Prof. Roberto works as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Federal University of Pernambuco.
Prof. Roberto works in analysis of Partial Differential Equations, with emphasis on control theory. Precisely, he has been working on the well-posedness of initial boundary value problem, controllability and stabilization problems of systems that model physical phenomena in fluids. His research agenda has been developed in close collaboration with researchers based both in Brazil and abroad.
As regards financial support, Prof. Roberto has been funded by The National Council for Research and Technology (CNPq-Brazil), Pernambuco Research Foundation (FACEPE), Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) and Propeqi (UFPE).
