Muhammad Salman Bashir is a Lecturer in the School of Computing and Engineering, University of Huddersfield, Huddersfield HD1 3DH, United Kingdom. He obtained his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA in 2017 and 2014, respectively. At Purdue University, he was the distinguished Fulbright Science and Technology Fellow. His research interests are in the application of optimization and information theory to realize high-speed free-space optical communication systems.
