Dr. Hamad Yahya (Member, IEEE) was born in Sharjah, UAE, in 1997. He received the M.Sc. degree (with Distinction) in Communications and Signal Processing from The University of Manchester, Manchester, U.K., in 2019, he received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Manchester, Manchester, U.K., in 2023. He is currently enrolled in the UAE National Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program at Khalifa University. Prioir joining Khalifa University, Dr. Yahya worked as a Research Associate with the Communication Systems research group at The University of Manchester, where he was the co-founder and the chair of the IEEE ComSoc SBC.
Dr. Yahya received the Best Student and the Best Project Prizes from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, The University of Manchester. He was nominated for the Distinguished Achievement Award in 2019, where he was among the top 14 postgraduate taught students across the Faculty of Science and Engineering. He is the recipient of the MSc Success Scholarship from The University of Manchester.
His research interests include wireless communications for future wireless networks, optimization, and visible light communication.
