Weizhong Chen received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University in 1995. He was with Motorola and Freescale (1995–2010) in baseband receiver design for 2-way Paging, Bluetooth, WiFi, and 2G-3G Cellular. Then he was with Futurewei Technologies (2010-2019) in baseband SoC system architecture, especially full floating-point DSP and vector accelerators for 4G-5G base-stations. Then, he was with Facebook / Meta (2020-2023) in massive MIMO baseband solutions for 5G base-stations. He is currently with Futurewei Technologies. His interests include algorithms, system architecture, and practical solutions for a variety of applications. He has 50+ patents
