This letter presents remedial measures to compensate for the nonlinearities in the measurement chain, which comprises saturation of the Current transformer core and ferroresonance in the Voltage transformer. The approach reduces the bias in estimations to improve subsequent decision-making. The steady-state and transient performances of state-of-theart phasor measurement unit emulators are also compared in this study. The probability density function of error in phasor estimation shows the significant reduction in biases of estimates due to the reconstruction of distorted analog signals.
