The aim of this work is to develop a new crossplatform mobile application that provides appropriate and relevant audiovisual materials for e-learning and m-learning, characterized by: adaptive learning; microlearning; multimedia learning and friendly learning through serious games, according to the suggestions of the Common Framework of Reference for Intercultural Digital Literacy. The work has been carried out by the collaboration of the Electronic Equipment Engineering group of the University of Vigo and the Discourse and Identity group of the University of Santiago de Compostela. Through more than 600 interactive multimedia mini games, with the collaboration of transversal (inter)national teams (linguists, historians, technologists, musicians, cartoonists, etc.). Different educational routes are proposed to learn the sounds of the English language, with the aim of practising three phonetic skills: perception/comprehension, production/pronunciation and transcription, while acquiring historical and cultural knowledge by walking the Camino de Santiago. In addition, 8 accents in English are practised by means of different avatars taking into account the gender perspective, representing a woman guidemonitor and other historical figures or relevant people in the Jacobean route.
