This paper gives novel analytical equations and the corresponding PSpice model implementation that can be used to estimate radiated emissions from harnesses routed over a ground plane such as in the MIL-STD-461G RE102 setup. The analytical models were derived for the near field and radiated emissions from the setup along with the impedance of wire due to radiation resistance. These analytical models use a bounding method that ignores the phase and impedance resonances that can underestimate the emissions. The resonance from the RE102 rod antenna setup used below 30 MHz was included with empirical fitting. The PSpice emissions model was validated to bound experimental emissions from 1 MHz to 1000 MHz by at least 3 dB for the RE102 setup with an open load used below 30 MHZ and a shorted load used at higher frequencies.
